This misunderstanding continued in 2011 with someone who described himself on doublegunshop "as one who is heavily involved with the L.C. Houchins thought that "16/20" meant that the 16 gauge FW and the 20 gauge FW used the same frame, whereas "16/20" simply meant the gun had either 16 gauge barrels or 20 gauge barrels. I think that the drawing label "Featherweight - 16 & 20 ga." frame came from a misunderstanding of shipping records which have the notation "16/20" in the barrel column. This book was published in 2007 and IMO it was produced for the book.
Smith - The Legend Lives" by John Houchins. It looks like it was drafted with a CAD program, not by a Hunter Arms engineer over a century ago. The "engineering drawing" does not have hand or typewritten lettering.
